Christmas in Germany

Today we are traveling to Germany!

You know how excited I am to finally break out these awesome passports!

Today we visited Germany and learned about the first Christmas tree, Advent and the Chriskind.

On my homework this week I made sure that the kids brought in their shoes in preparation for St. Nick's visit over the weekend. (Get ready! He comes Saturday night!)

It can be hard finding good stuff to use during your Holidays Around the World lessons. SO! I decided to throw together a little something. Even the smallest activity is useful!

Below is the link to my little resource as well as where you can find a little Freebie. In the freebie it has a matching game that your students can write the new words that they learned and match them a picture to then color.

ENJOY! And happy travels!

Check out this awesome freebie that What the Teacher Wants is sharing!

I was very excited that we were able to utilize it with our unit!

Be sure to stop over and grab her freebie!

  1. Your post and freebie fits perfectly with the theme of our tribe- we want to develop an understanding of the wider world with our children and learn from each other to enhance and inform our practice. I love teaching about Christmas around the world and think your product is perfect- you are so right- the smallest of activities can make the biggest of differences in our children's learning- thanks so much for linking-up with us- wishing you a fantastic festive season Xx
